  • A valid passport

Apply for a Turkish study visa

As a Nigerian student, you’ll need to apply for a student visa to study in Turkey. Visit the Turkish embassy or consulate for your visa application. Ensure you go along with the following documents:

  1. Copies of the relevant pages of the passport (data and extension pages). The passport should be valid for at least 6 prior to the date of the visa application.

  2. Duly filled online visa application form with 2 biometric passport photos (6cmx5cm), with white background. The photos should not be affixed to the form.

  3. Admission and acceptance letter by the university.

  4. High school diploma and university graduate certificates (copies). The documents should be duly signed and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thereafter.

  5. Payment receipt of tuition fees.

  6. Confirmation letter from the school acknowledging receipt of payment.

  7. Guarantee letter signed by the sponsor and the student, stating that the sponsor will cover all the expenses of the student. The letter should indicate that the student will not solicit financial support or scholarship from any person or institution.

  8. Bank statement of the sponsor including original approval/reference letter from the bank branch manager. The bank statement should be recent (at least 3 months).

  9. If you are less than 18 years old, you’ll need a notarized consent letter from the parents.

  10. Flight ticket

  11. Original and photocopy of National ID Card.

  12. “Vaccination Card” for yellow fever and typhoid diseases.

  13. Travel health insurance which covers the duration of stay in the country.

Bear in mind that if the above-mentioned requirements are not fully met and the documents are incomplete, your application will not be considered and you will need to book a new appointment in order to submit your full documentation.
