Early Life
Sola Adesakin was born on the 10th of June 1980 to the family of Mr Mosudi and Mrs Ebunoluwa Olukokun. Growing up in a polygamous home, she is the first of five daughters born of her mother and the fifth daughter born of her father. She however has strong bonds with her siblings. She is a happy mother of three boys.
Personal Life
Sola Adesakin is married to Gboyega Adesakin who is a real estate consultant working for Firmaterra as a Chief Operation Officer and they have three boys together.
Sola Adesakin enjoys using biblical stories as an illustration for her financial writings. She enjoys doing the things of God as well as writing which is a means for her to express herself. She is the author of eight books: 40 frugal rules, The Real Profit, The Fit To Fly Financial Plan, May I Have My Money, Rubics of Wisdom, Pebbles From The Rock, God’s Choice of The Chosen. She is also a TEDx speaker and a coach as she likes to speak from personal experiences.
Education
As a result of her brilliance, Sola Adesakin’s father had believed that she would be a medical doctor but she knew what she wanted and had chosen the path of accounting and finance. Her educational background began with her obtaining an HND from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro in the year 2000. She became a chartered accountant in 2002 after writing the FCA exams. In 2003, she began her studies at the Oxford Brookes University to study applied accounting and finished in 2006 with a BSc. Degree. She became a fellow of the association of Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom in 2007 and obtained her Master’s degree from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriott-Watt University. She also became an associate member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
Career
Sola Adesakin’s started in 2001 as an account for MOOC Limited and spent three years doing the job. In 2004, she worked as the Financial and Admin Manager at Food and Pharma Limited. She left in 2005 and the same year she started work as a Financial and Admin Manager working for SAS Space Design Limited and is the current Chief Operations Officer, Business Development and Finance. In 2011, she worked as a visionary for Fruit Foundation a non-governmental organization she still works for. She founded Smart Stewards Financial Limited in October 2015 and is the Lead Coach. She also created The Smart Stewards Investment Club in 2018. She is an author of about eight books and has helped various people build appropriate structures for their businesses and finance.
