Early life
Sharon Ooja Egwurube was born April 6, 1991, in Kaduna State to a family of six. She hails from Benue State, the tribe of Idoma but grew up in Jos, Plateau State. Sharon attended King and Queens school Jos for her primary education before going to two all-girls boarding schools – Regina packs Secondary School, Garki II, Abuja and St Louis Girl’s College, Jos for her secondary education. She graduated with a degree in Mass Communication from Houdegbe North American University in Cotonou, Benin Republic. Sharon Ooja started her acting career when she relocated to Lagos in 2013. She is an Actress, Model and Tv personality.
Career
Sharon’s first shot at acting was in a small role in the television series, Gidi Up but she rose to fame with her role in Skinny Girls in Transit. She has acted in other series and movies which include king of Boys, Mums at War, Bling Lagosians, Men’s Club, Jenifa’s Diary, Oloture, Still Falling amongst others. Sharon hosted GT Bank’s Fashion Week red carpet alongside Timini Egbuson in 2017.
Sharon has revealed she plans to go into business and will set to launch her fashion and hairline very soon. She has also revealed she is passionate about the girl child and would like to start a skill acquisition programme, such as a short summer camp for girls, in the future.
The actress has named Gabrielle Union, Keira Knightley, Shaffy Bello, Funke Kuti, Ngozi Nwosu, No Abudu and Funke Akindele as her major influences in acting. She also stated that her biggest role model is her Mother.

Sharon Ooja is presently not married or has disclosed anyone as her boyfriend. Although it was rumoured that she was in a relationship with co-actor, Timini Egbuson. The actress in an interview with Wazobia Max expressed her disappointment over the kind of guys that have been approaching her. She said most of them rarely see beyond her physique and consider her to be materialistic. She is only attracted to an intelligent man who can engage her intellectually. An interesting fact about her is that she loves to eat a lot and enjoys reading books.
