EDUCATION


John started his formal education at the age of three in Redeemers Nursery And Primary School, while attending the school he held the position of Time Keeper in Primary four and was the Head Boy in Primary six . He attended Kings College in Lagos for his Secondary School education and when he finished , he proceeded unto the University Of Lagos , where he currently studies Biochemistry.


PERSONAL LIFE


John was born in Homa Hospital , Markurdi , Nigeria to Mr and Pastor Mrs Ajuh . He is the fourth of five children whom are all boys. He loves philosophical books and has a view which he describes as one most will find weird and unusual.

ACHIEVEMENT


He participated in the Maximilian Maths competition while in primary school , where he took the 2nd position.    He was also a chorister, he played the violin and participated in plenty competition’s all while he schooled at Redeemer’s Nursery and Primary School. When he went on to King’s College , he became the Student’s Representative President.

He was also a sportsman who participated in both indoor and outdoor games such as : Professional chess ,millionaire chess , football, Athletics – Sprinted for Relay races and 100 meters races. While at King’s , he also did well academically , as in a class of over 600 Students he was in the top 20 .

He was a member of various clubs in his school such as : Debate club , JETS club , he also oversaw the activities for various clubs.John was often referred to as a Chemistry guru while he schooled at King’s due to his proficiency in the subject area.

In the University of Lagos where he is currently a final year student , he is a member of the Committee for planning events ,a public speaker and he won Most Social And Sort After (Year 2). He has six gold medals in Chess from UNILAG which he obtained after winning the HOD games thrice from his Year 1- Year 3 and the Dean’s price, also won thrice.

He describes himself as an extremely extroverted individual.
Being a sports man he is currently a football captain till present (Two silver medals won).He also plays , Basketball , Volleyball, Tennis, Videogames , plays many indoor games such as Ludo , Monopoly, Scrabbles, Gamblers (checkers). He also sprints and has participated in some races such as 100m 4 by 1 and 200m.


CAREER


John is extremely good at playing Chess . He started playing Professional chess while he was still a secondary school student (SS2) and he also had a coach .He is a member of the Chess Players Association Of Nigerian League. He was also part of the ‘‘ Invisible four’’ that won an International School Chess League of which he was the captain . The league comprises of various bodies.
John was also the Best Graduating Student Chess player. In SS2 he participated in the PWC grand slam (Chess4Change initiative) and won the first three editions consecutively afterwards.
He currently holds the position of the Departmental President for Biochemistry in UNILAG( NSBS ( Nigerian Society Of Biochemistry Students ) Unilag chapter) and South -West Director of Social Institution (University of Lagos).

CHALLENGES


Sponsorship challenges were one of the problems faced in his Professional Chess playing , as Nigeria couldn’t sponsor him internationally. His year one (1) was a bit challenging academically . He was however prompted by course mate / friend to do better in year two , which he did and improved academically.
He failed at the Marathon Ikoyi Run 2016 and 2017(twice) .
